Voting underway to elect the 13th president

India is all set to elect its 13th president and given the numbers it's a foregone conclusion that the country is going to get its first woman president. UPA nominee Pratibha Patil, backed by the Left and the BSP, can expect over six lakh votes. Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi were among the first to cast their votes in the presidential election.
