About The Video

The southeast Delhi Police's vigorous effort to turn six arterial roads favoured by criminals while making a dash for the borders after committing crimes in Delhi into the city's safest spots by installing some 600 CCTV cameras has finally yielded results. On Monday, the special staff team of the southeast district police busted a notorious “Thak-Thak gang”, operating especially in south Delhi areas, with the help of the CCTV cameras that are being installed on the six important corridors. The CCTV footage captured the gang members taking out a bag containing diamond and gold jewellery worth several lakh rupees from a car after puncturing one of its tyres at a traffic signal on June 9. The crime had occurred at 6.42 pm near Sarai Kale Khan petrol pump on Ring Road. The bag belonged to a Kalkaji-based jeweller who was returning to his shop in his car after purchasing jewellery items from Karol Bagh. (Report: Karn Pratap Singh)
