Water table decline is matter of concern: PM

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Tuesday said in his inaugural address at the India Water Week that conserving ground water is an urgent priority as the country depends on it for more than two third of its water requirements. He also said that the water management task is one of the critical challenges in the 12th Five year Plan.
