West Bengal begins programmes to train surrendered Maoists

The state authorities in Purulia district of West Bengal began programmes to train surrendered Maoists, in a bid to help them acquire better jobs. The programme included training in several spheres like driving and knitting, so that they could live independently and earn their livelihood.
