Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has said Tehran remains committed to both diplomacy and defending itself, warning that any renewed military confrontation would draw a stronger response. Speaking in Tehran on October 4, Araghchi said Iran remains ready to pursue what he called a “just and honourable solution” through diplomacy to end the war. He also highlighted recent meetings with neighbouring countries, particularly Gulf states, describing them as productive and friendly. Araghchi said Iran and its neighbours have begun a new trust-building process aimed at establishing peace, stability and security in the Persian Gulf through regional cooperation.
