Iran’s foreign minister flees to Beirut amid unrest? Araghchi's video message as Khamenei warns US

Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi said the government is engaging with different social groups to address growing economic hardships, as protests continue across the country. Speaking in Lebanon, Araqchi accused the United States and Israel of interfering in Iran’s internal affairs and attempting to turn peaceful demonstrations into violent unrest. The comments came as authorities imposed a nationwide internet blackout amid escalating protests, with footage showing fires and clashes in several cities. Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei vowed not to retreat, blaming foreign-backed opposition groups, as human rights organisations reported security forces firing on protesters.
