Sunny Deol joins BJP, may contest LS polls from Punjab’s Gurdaspur

Bollywood actor Sunny Deol has on Tuesday joined the Bharatiya Janata Party. He is likely to contest the Lok Sabha election from Gurdaspur constituency in Punjab. Deol had last week met BJP president Amit Shah amid speculation that he may contest from Amritsar or Gurdaspur. His Bollywood career spans over three decades with the actor giving Indian cinema goers many memorable films such as Betaab, Border, Damini, Gadar and Ghayal among many others. All 13 seats of Punjab will go to polls in the last phase on May 19. The results will be announced on May 23.
