Bangalore varsity students, staff protest against temple construction on campus

Big faceoff over the construction of Ganesh temple inside the Bangalore University campus. Students and faculty members staged a protest against the construction of a temple inside the Jnanabharathi campus. They accused BBMP of 'saffronising the University' and demanded a Library instead of the temple. Meanwhile, the University Vice-Chancellor has said that the temple is being constructed as part of an agreement after the old temple was demolished due to the widening of the road.
