Cheetahs make India home after 7 decades; PM Modi releases big cats on birthday

Prime Minister Narendra Modi released eight Namibian Cheetahs at Madhya Pradesh's Kuno National Park on the occasion of his birthday. PM called the arrival of the big cats 'historic'. 5 of the 8 cheetahs are female and 3 are males. They were brought in a special cargo aircraft that landed at Gwalior airport this morning. They were then transported to the Kuno National Park in 3 IAF choppers. India declared Cheetah extinct in 1952. Watch this video to know more.
