Drama at rally as MP CM punishes officials from stage over 'corruption'

Dramatic suspension order by Madhya Pradesh CM Shivraj Chouhan from the dais. Chouhan suspended two state officials for alleged corruption in PM Awas Yojana. Among them was former CMO of Jeron Nagar Parishad, Uma Shankar Mishra. Chouhan ordered the suspension during a public meeting at Jairon village in Niwari. "They (officials) are telling me some Uma Shankar Mishra was the CMO and one Abhishek Raut was the sub engineer. They are hereby suspended with immediate effect," he said. Shivraj Chouhan also ordered an Economic Offences Wing probe against the two. The MP CM said his government would ensure those who indulged in corruption went to jail. "We will also conduct a probe against those who indulged in corruption will ensure that they go to jail," he added.
