Gilgit-Baltistan region is on the edge amid sectarian unrest. In a fresh incident that has further deteriorated the situation, former CM of Gilgit-Baltistan Khalid Khurshid Khan was attacked by suspected terrorists during a visit to campaign for a by-poll in Astore area. The former CM survived the assassination attempt, but several vehicles in his cavalcade suffered damages. Pakistan Army and paramilitary have already been deployed in the region to contain the unrest. Watch the video for more.
