Gyanvapi 'Shivling' to remain protected, SC accepts Hindu side's plea

Supreme Court has extended protection of 'Shivling', that was discovered at the premises of Gyanvapi Mosque Complex in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. The top court as extended this protection order till further notice. The case was heard by SC'S 3-judge bench led by Chief Justice Dy Chandrachud. The bench also allowed the Hindu parties to move an application before the Varanasi district judge for consolidation of all the lawsuit filed on the Gyanvapi row.
