Heritage building, Secunderabad Club, one of India's oldest, destroyed in fire
A massive fire broke out at the Secunderabad Gymkhana Club in the early hours of Sunday. Although there were no casualties, the fire completely destroyed the 144-year-old edifice. Visuals on social media showed the heritage building engulfed in flames. A fire department official said they received information about the blaze in the heritage building at about 3 AM. The police said the cause of the fire is suspected to be a short circuit. Secunderabad Club’s century-old main club house was given heritage status in 2017. Watch the full video for more.
