Indian Muslims' group lauds Taliban; AIMPLB says 'no misbehaviour with women'

A member of All India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB) Sajjad Nomani lauded Taliban’s efforts in capturing Afghanistan and hailed the group as history-makers. In a detailed message on his YouTube page, Nomani said that he hopes that the Taliban can now set an example that could be followed by other countries. Nomani highlighted Taliban’s amnesty and the situation of Afghan women. His comments came days after a Samajwadi Party MP had compared Taliban’s takeover with India’s freedom struggle.
