Israel deploys remote controlled gun system to disperse Palestinian protesters

Israel has deployed a remote-controlled gun turret in the West Bank to disperse Palestinian protesters. The system was installed over a checkpoint on Shuhada street in the city of Hebron, which is a protest hotspot in the city. The AI-powered turret has capacity to fire stun grenades, tear gas, and sponge-tipped bullets. The installation of the 'smart shooter' by Israeli forces has critics worried as it is placed in a densely populated area thronged by hundreds.
