Made-in-India warships Surat & Udaygiri to be launched in Mumbai; boost to Navy

In a landmark event, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh will launch two indigenous warships in a single day. Rajanth Singh will be in Mumbai to launch warships Surat & Udaygiri together from Mazagon Docks Ltd. Warship Surat is the fourth and last of the stealth destroyers under the 'Project 15B' programme. According to naval tradition, destroyers are named after Ind­ian cities. The second warship, Udaygiri, is part of the 'Project 17A' Frigate programme. Both warships are designed at the Directorate of Naval Design and built entirely at Mazagon Docks Ltd. Watch the full video for more.
