Modi Govt blocks 7 Indian and a Pak YouTube channel for anti-India content

The Modi government has clamped down on anti-India forces by banning eight Youtube channels for 'spreading fake news'. Among those blocked, seven are Indian channels while one is a Pakistan-based Youtube channel. The blocked channels had a cumulative viewership of over 114 crore and had a total subscriber base of over 85 lakh users. Apart from the Youtube channels, the I&B Ministry has also issued orders to block one Facebook account and two Facebook posts put out on August 16. Since December 2021, Centre has blocked 102 Youtube channels & several other social media accounts for anti-India content.
