Modi U.S. Visit: Govt Clears Way For MQ-9 Predator Drone, F-414 Engine Deal In Bid To Counter China

During PM Modi's visit to the U.S., an agreement between India and the U.S to jointly build fighter jet engines is almost complete. To produce engines for the Tejas light-combat aircraft, Massachusetts-based General Engine would collaborate with the government-owned HAL. The last major acquisition was done on the eve of then-U.S President Donald Trump’s visit to India.
