A political row erupted on Monday after West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee claimed that Modi government has blocked the bank accounts of Missionaries of Charity organisation which was founded by Mother Teresa. However Union Ministry of Home Affairs quickly clarified that no such move was taken by the Government and that the Charity itself had requested State Bank of India to freeze its accounts.
