‘Negative image of police among people must change’: PM Modi to IPS probationers

Prime Minister Narendra Modi interacted with IPS Probationers of 2019 batch on July 31. PM Modi addressed the IPS probationers at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy via video conferencing. The IPS trainees, already allocated to cadres across the country, shared their experiences with the prime minister. PM Modi said that there is a negative perception associated with the police which stands as a big challenge. “It is the responsibility of the new generation coming into the police force that this image changes and this negative perception of the police goes away,” he added.
