PM Modi, Xi missed informal dinner, group events ahead of SCO summit. Here's why

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chinese President Xi Jinping skipped the pre-SCO summit events at Samarkand in Uzbekistan last night. PM Modi was away from informal dinner and other events as he arrived around the same time in the city. He and Xi also missed other events like tree plantation and tour of the Eternal city. Uzbekistan authorities had also thrown a party for officials of other SCO member states to welcome them. Watch this video for more details.
