'Sufficient Stock': India denies report on wheat import plan amid price rise

Modi government has rejected reports claiming India is planning to import wheat. According to the government, India has 'enough wheat to feed its population'. Contradicting Bloomberg report, the government said 'there is no such plan'. India has raised its wheat production estimate on August 17 even as other forecasters and traders were scaling down output numbers because of the heatwave.
