Taj Mahal security tightened after 4 tourists offer Namaz at the monument

Four men arrested for offering namaz at the iconic Taj Mahal in Agra. These men had offered prayers at the Shahi mosque situated inside the premises of Taj Mahal on Wednesday. A.S.I officials present at the monument had caught them doing so, after which they handed over these 4 men to the Uttar Pradesh police. Out of the 4 arrested, 3 are from Hyderabad and one from U.P's Azamgarh. After this incident police have heightened the security at the world heritage site. Remember, as per Supreme Court's 2018 order, namaz is banned at the Taj Mahal except on Fridays. SC states that even on Fridays only residents of Tajganj locality can offer namaz between 12 PM to 2 PM. No outsiders are allowed to carry out any religious activities at the monument as per SC guidelines. Watch this report to know more.
