WhatsApp sues govt over new digital media rules; cites 2017 SC privacy verdict

The war between social media giants and the Indian government over the new digital media rules has now taken a legal turn. WhatsApp has now sued the Indian government over the provision that makes it mandatory for social media giants to identify the first originator of a message.
