PM's plan for border villages - Overnight stay by officers to address challenges

PM Modi has asked ministries to depute senior officers for at least one-night stay in border villages. The senior officers will visit villages covered under the border area development programme. Strengthening border villages - focus on greater growth & adding more muscle to the first line of defence. The decision comes at a time when china has also decided to develop border villages along the LAC.
