Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren apparently went ‘missing’ before resurfacing amid Enforcement Directorate’s probe in an alleged land scam case. ED seized two luxury cars and ₹36 lakh in cash from Soren’s residence in Delhi, but could not find him. Hours of political drama ensued in Delhi and Jharkhand capital Ranchi as opposition BJP declared Soren an “absconder” and announced a reward of ₹11,000 for anyone who can find the CM. Soren’s party JMM hit back, claiming political witch hunt by the BJP-led central government.
