Russian President Vladimir Putin delivered a blistering speech at RT’s 20th anniversary, accusing Western media of spreading lies and monopolizing global narratives. Speaking at Moscow’s Bolshoi Theatre, Putin praised RT for “defending the truth” and claimed Western outlets label terrorists as “rebels.” He said Russia’s media sovereignty is part of its national strength and vowed that “the voice of truth, the voice of Russia, must be louder.”
