‘Athletes have right to know what they are being tested for’: Payoshini Mitra

Payoshini Mitra, a researcher and an athlete's rights activist, was involved in the Human Rights Watch report titled 'They're Chasing Us Away From Sport', which was released on December 4. It is a painful recounting of the wrecked lives of women athletes delivers a harder kick in the gut. In this interview to Sharda Ugra, Mitra talks about the stance of sports bodies, the gender and human rights of the athletes as well as the current state of affairs regarding the gender debate in sport.
