Fennell 'disappointed' by delay in stadium construction

Michael Fennell, President of the Commonwealth Games Federation expressed "great disappointment" over the over preparations for the 2010 Delhi Commonwealth Games, and said that the further delays in venue construction and stadium delivery was "distressing". Meanwhile, Chairman of the Common Wealth Games Organising Committee, Suresh Kalmadi said that India's Sports Minister Manohar Singh Gill has assured the work will be completed in the new dates.
