Lawson confirmed as Pakistan’s new coach

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) confirmed former Australian fast bowler Geoff Lawson as their new cricket coach on Monday. Board chairman Nasim Ashraf told a news conference in the southern city of Karachi that Lawson had been preferred over two other short-listed candidates, Dave Whatmore and Richard Done. Ashraf said Lawson had been selected after giving an impressive interview and presentation to the board.
