Put other sports at par with cricket: Bindra

Abhinav Bindra, India's first individual gold medalist at the Olympics said that unless India proved its mettle in the ultimate sports arena, the cricket-mad nation will not be treated a major sports power. Addressing a news conference in hometown Chandigarh Bindra said that Olympics sports require lot of support. Abhinav has been heaped with praise and cash awards. He has been awarded nearly $400,000 in cash for his achievement.
