Warming up for Twenty20

Hosts South Africa open the inaugural ICC World Twenty20 against the West Indies on Tuesday at the Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg, in front of a sell-out crowd of 35,000. Both the teams are drawn with minnows Bangladesh in Group A, with two of the three going through to the next stage. The hosts start as second favourites, behind Australia among the 12 teams in the two-week tournament.
