Zaheer Khan to play Ranji matches

Fast bowler Zaheer Khan, who is currently recovering from an injury, will play in Ranji Trophy matches to assess his fitness before the Australian tour scheduled during December. The 33-year-old left-arm seamer said this on the sidelines of a promotional function in New Delhi. Khan also lauded the younger crop of fast bowlers, especially Varun Aaron and Umesh Yadav, who have performed very well in his absence.
