Australia wildfire intensifies: Death toll rises; residents evacuate

Wildfires continue to ravage several parts of Australia. So far, bushfires have claimed over 10 lives. More than 1000 homes have been razed by the raging inferno. Thick smoke from fires plunged nearby areas into near darkness. Residents fled towards lakes and beaches to escape the fires.
