‘Delayed nuclear…’: Jaishankar on 3 things that held back India's rise VS China

Speaking at an interaction at Columbia University in New York, Jaishankar explained India’s growth story and the rise of China. He referred to factors that has slowed the country’s growth — partition, delay in conducting India’s nuclear test and delay in initiating economic reforms. “China did not face partition and rather acquired territories, China conducted nuclear test in 1964 and initiated economic reforms in 1970s," he added.
