Eman Ahmad is on the fast track to recovery
Eman Ahmed, can now open a water bottle on her own, plays with a ball and talks to her doctors with a smile on her face. Sharing a video of her streak of miraculous recovery, doctors of Burjeel Hospital said the Egyptian national and former heaviest woman of the world is healing three times faster than they planned. Dr. Yassin El Shahat, Chief Medical Officer of Abu Dhabi-based Burjeel Hospital said that by the end of stage two of her treatment, Eman will feed herself by mouth and use an electric wheelchair after achieving a reasonable weight loss by strict diet regimen. A team of more than 20 health care professionals was assigned to evaluate Eman and chart a treatment plan which was divided into three stages. Doctors had set a three-month target to achieve the first one, being a short term plan to treat the acute issues including, UTI, Bedsores, Rehabilitation, speech therapy and psychological support.
