Hamas hints at flexible arms deal and long-term ceasefire to rebuild Gaza

A senior Hamas official said an agreement on the group’s arms is reachable as part of what he called “the guarantees approach” that ensures the reconstitution of Gaza and that the war doesn’t break out again. Speaking in a forum in the Qatari capital, Doha, on Sunday, Khaled Mashaal said the group has offered multiple options including a long-term truce as part of its ongoing negotiations with Egyptian, Qatari and Turkish mediators.
