Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Bagheri spoke to his Qatari counterpart Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani on August 16. He warned about "the deceit and dishonesty" of Israel and US as the Gaza truce talks in Doha ended with no breakthrough. Commenting on ceasefire-hostage negotiations, US President Joe Biden said, “We’re not there yet, but it’s much, much closer than it was three days ago. So keep your fingers crossed.”
