Niger's military junta has reportedly reached out to Russia's mercenary group Wagner. This as pro-West ECOWAS' deadline asking Niger junta to reinstate the democratically elected president nears. ECOWAS Defence Chiefs finalised an intervention plan and urged militaries to ready resources. However, the Niger junta has threatened 'devastating consequences' in case of an intervention.
