After Trump endorsed Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for re-election, Vance declined to back any Israeli candidate, saying his focus was on American candidates and the US midterm elections. His remarks have fuelled speculation about differences within the administration over Israel, amid previous disagreements over policy towards Israel and Iran.
