Ukrainians react as comedian wins presidential election

Comedian Volodymyr Zelensky is set to become the new president of Ukraine. Ukrainians reacted with mixed feelings to this development. According to the Central Election Commission, a total of 95 per cent voter turnout was recorded in Ukraine. While Zelenskiy bagged 73.13 per cent votes, incumbent Petro Poroshenko got 24.52 per cent. Zelensky will be Ukraine's first Jewish president. He is best known for starring in Ukrainian television series Servant of the People.
