Watch | Libyan plane hijackers surrender, tweets Malta Prime Minister

Two hijackers, who had held hostage around 118 people of a Libyan plane including the crew members, surrendered before the Malta Police on Friday evening, after releasing everyone on board and leaving the plane. The Malta Prime Minister Joseph Muscat took to Twitter to confirm the news, saying “Hijackers surrendered, searched and taken into custody.” According to sources, the two hijackers on board had hand grenades and had threatened to explode them if their demands were not met.
