Typhoon Nock-Ten blew out of the northern Philippines on Monday after killing at least six people and spoiling Christmas festivities in several provinces in the country. More than 380,000 people were forced to abandon celebrations in their homes to evacuate to emergency shelters and other safer grounds as it made landfall. Five entire provinces faced power cuts due to toppled electric posts and trees, dimming Christmas revelries in Asia's largest Catholic nation.
