WHO chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said that Afghanistan faces a ‘humanitarian catastrophe’ as health workers leave the country. Tedros added that the resurgence of Polio is a major risk and 50% children are at risk of malnutrition, The WHO chief’s remarks come after his recent visit to the war-torn nation where he met with Taliban leaders. "Unless urgent action is taken, Afghanistan faces an imminent humanitarian catastrophe.
