China’s full help to Pak amid strained US ties

China has assured Pakistan of continuous support and cooperation in economic and defence issues. China's announcement comes at a time when Pakistan's ties with the US are at an all time low. Chinese foreign ministry spokesman Liu Weimin on Friday said, that the recent meet of China's senior diplomat Dai Bingguo with Pakistan's Prime Minister Yusuf Raza Gilani and Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar, aimed to "discuss the future development of practical cooperation and exchange views on other issues of mutual concern."
