Lanka flood survivors seek aid

Flash floods have killed at least 18 people and displaced thousands of people from their homes. Sri Lankan authorities appealed for canned food, drinking water and clothes for the victims in the west and south of the country. Over 2 lakh people have been affected from the floods. Many people have taken shelter in schools and temples. Victims are in desperate need for aid but they have not received any from governmental or non-governmental sources.
