There were no extra security arrangements or deployment of security personnel in Lahore on Sunday, as the city prepared to welcome home, former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif. Sharif was deposed by Musharraf in a coup eight years ago. Large posters of Nawaz Sharif and prominent figures of his party lined the vicinity near his premises. Musharraf blocked an earlier attempt by Sharif to end his exile in September.
