World leaders arrive in Beijing

World leaders have started arriving in Beijing ahead of the opening ceremonies of the Olympic Games. US President George W Bush, French President Nicolas Sarkozy, Russian President Vladimir Putin, Australian Prime Minister Kevin Rudd and Japanese Prime Minister Yasua Fukuda all touched down in Beijing on Thursday. Shortly after his arrival, Bush said he was in Beijing to cheer the US athletes.
