Yermak said both sides are moving toward a “just and lasting peace” and will work in the coming days to merge proposals while bringing in European partners. The consultations come amid unease over the 28-point US draft plan, which reportedly includes territorial concessions, sharp cuts to Ukraine’s military and a major US stake in reconstruction, alarming Kyiv and several European capitals. Moscow has reviewed the proposal, with President Vladimir Putin signalling readiness for talks pending a substantive discussion. Donald Trump, meanwhile, has softened his earlier Thursday deadline for Kyiv to accept the deal, calling it “not my final offer” while publicly criticising Ukraine’s leadership for showing “zero gratitude.”
