Canada-bound Pakistani flight diverted to UK after toilet gets choked

According to a statement issued by the airline’s spokesperson, the toilets are connected to a common drain line, all toilets onboard the aircraft were rendered unusable.

A Pakistan International Airlines’ flight bound from Toronto to Lahore had to be diverted to Manchester after the aircraft’s toilet got clogged as something solid was thrown into it by unidentified passengers.

The flight PK-798 was travelling from Toronto in Canada to Lahore, Pakistan on Saturday when the crew decided to divert it to Manchester, London.

The Boeing 777-200 aircraft remained on the ground for about 3 hours, then continued its journey, the AeroInside reported.

The airline said the toilets of the aircraft choked after something solid was thrown into by unidentified passengers.

According to a statement issued by the airline’s spokesperson, the toilets are connected to a common drain line, all toilets onboard the aircraft were rendered unusable.

The plane was diverted to Manchester where the toilets were serviced before it was able to continue.

Chairman of PIA directed the passengers to strictly adhere to and carefully read the warning signs in the toilets.
